CGDC President Petar Stoyanov and CGDC Vice President Dr. Werner Fasslabend at the 6th Arab-Austrian Economic Forum

On October 10-12, the 6th Arab-Austrian Economic Forum was held in Vienna. The topic of the international conference was “Sudan, South Sudan & Europe: Prospects of Cooperation for Regional Peace and Development”. The event was co-organized by the CGDC Vice President Dr. Werner Fasslabend, who gave the opening remarks and moderated the opening session. President Petar Stoyanov also participated actively in the forum and delivered a speech, highlighting the importance of such initiatives for the future relations and development of Sudan and South Sudan.

The 6th Arab-Austrian Economic Forum was organized by the Austro-Arab Chamber of Commerce – AACC in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of the Sudan in Austria, the Political Academy of Austrian People’s Party – PolAk, the Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy – AIES, the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber – WKO, UNIDO, UNDP, the Austrian-South Sudan Society, and the Austrian-Sudan Society. On the basis of the recent milestone agreement, signed in Addis Ababa, between Sudan and South Sudan, which brought solutions to numerous political and economic issues, this forum acquired exclusive actuality. It was the first ever conference after the agreement, where Ministers from Sudan and South Sudan met and shared information about their countries’ investment opportunities with entrepreneurs worldwide.
