Conclusion of the high-level-talks on the occasion of the Clinton Global Initiative’s 2010 Annual Meeting

On the occasion of the Clinton Global Initiative’s 2010 Annual Meeting, President Petar Stoyanov and Stamen Stantchev, Secretary General and Founder of CGDC, had the chance to speak to many influential opinion leaders.

Cherie Blair In the conversation between President Stoyanov and Cherie Blair, Tony Blair´s wife, they agreed on the opportunity to make a lasting change by investing in the education of young people. With these experiences and this knowledge in mind, the young men and women, who might become the future leaders, will be tolerant and open to cultural differences.

Irina Bokova Irina Bokova and President Petar Stoyanov share not only their origin from Bulgaria, but also many perspectives on how global dialogue can be promoted and new principles developed. Irina Bokova, Secretary General of Unesco, and President Stoyanov had a long and good conversation at the Clinton Global Initiative in New York about different possibilities to initiate this process.

Dr. Hermann Bühlbecker Dr. Hermann Bühlbecker, owner of the Lambertz group, shared his views with President Stoyanov about the Center for Global Dialogue and Cooperation and its future milestones.

Wesley Clark Wesley Clark developed strategies for the potential implementation of several key objectives of Clinton’s Global Initiatives together with Tom Golisano and John Glenn, former astronaut and US Senator. President Stoyanov had a chance to talk about the vision of the Center for Global Dialogue and Cooperation in New York, and Wesley Clark expressed his interest and joined CGDC’s International Honorary Board of Advisors.

Bill Clinton Bill Clinton congratulated Stamen Stantchev to CGDC´s dedication to contribute to a better world by encouraging dialogue. He also stressed that he looks forward to the new cooperation between the Center for Global Dialogue and Cooperation and the Clinton Global Initiative.

José Maria Figueres José Maria Figueres, advisor of the International Honorary Board of advisors of the CGDC, talked to President Stoyanov about how essential ethical values in business and politics are for sustainable and stable global welfare.

Tom Golisano Tom Golisano, Founder & Chairman of the Board Paychex Corporation, is one of the funding sponsors of the Clinton Global Initiative. President Stoyanov met him in New York and presented the main ideas of the Center for Global Dialogue and Cooperation.

Jeff Greene On the occasion of the Clinton Global Initiative in New York in September 2010, President Stoyanov and Jeff Greene seized the opportunity to exchange their thoughts about the Center for Global Dialogue and Cooperation. Greene, American businessman, Entrepreneur and member of the Democratic Party, congratulated President Stoyanov to the development of the foundation and the ongoing projects. Jeff Greene was pleased about becoming a advisor of the International Honorary Board of Advisors of the CGDC.

Sir Evelyn de Rothschild On the occasion of the Clinton Global Initiative in New York, President Stoyanov had a long discussion with Sir Evelyn de Rothschild, sharing the opinion that by enabling youth from the Western Balkans Region the access to international educational facilities, living and studying together will help them to adapt with different cultures.
