CGDC Delegation at UNIDO Headquarters in Vienna

UNIDO Director-General Kandeh K. Yumkella welcomed CGDC President Stoyanov, Secretary General Stantchev and Managing Director Oliver Sodeik in the Vienna International Centre Headquarters.

The CGDC delegation discussed the possibilities for cooperation and partnership between the two organizations, emphasizing on their common objectives. UNIDO Chief of Europe and NIS Programme, Dr. Olga Memedovic, along with UNIDO Director of Policy Making Organs Secretariat, Ms Fatou Haidara, also contributed to the discussion on universal energy access, improving energy efficiency, and growing the share of renewable energy.

President Stoyanov congratulated Dr. Yumkella on his recent appointment as UN Secretary General’s, Ban Ki-moon, Special Representative for Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) and Chief Executive Officer of the new UN initiative.
